Russia sees two, Turkey five truce violations in Syria - Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. May 29 (Interfax-AVN) - The situation in the de-escalation areas in Syria has been stable in the past 24 hours; Russia has recorded two and Turkey five ceasefire violations, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"Russian members of the joint Russian-Turkish commission investigating violations of the cessation of hostilities have observed two instances of gunfire, one in the Aleppo governorate and one in the Latakia governorate. Turkish inspectors have recorded five instances of gunfire, including four in the Aleppo governorate and one in the Hama governorate," the ministry said on its website on Tuesday.
"Two UN humanitarian convoys carrying a total of 52 tonnes of cargo were safely escorted in the eastern part of the populated locality of Al Jizah and the western part of the populated locality of Jasim in the Daraa governorate," it said.
