Russia, UAE to sign memorandum on strategic partnership - Putin
MOSCOW. June 1 (Interfax) - A memorandum on strategic cooperation between Russia and the United Arab Emirates should be a good step in strengthening ties between the two countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"We will sign a memorandum on strategic cooperation and partnership today. I think this will be yet another good step in strengthening our bilateral ties," Putin said at a meeting on Friday with Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Russia and the UAE are developing ties in all fields, including political contacts, security and economic cooperation, he said.
