Rusnano to begin exporting solar panels in 2018 - Chubais
MOSCOW. June 5 (Interfax) - Rusnano expects to begin exporting Russian-made solar panels in 2018, Rusnano Management Company LLC CEO Anatoly Chubais said.
"This year the first exports of Russian solar panels in human history will take place," Chubais said without specifying the destination for the exports or their volumes.
Chubais confirmed that there would be a second renewable energy capacity supply agreement, under the program to support construction of new capacity based on renewable energy. The question is only about its size, he said.
Other support measures are needed, for example, exports of renewable energy equipment. By 2024, Russia will be manufacturing renewable energy equipment with 2 gigawatts of capacity every year, of which 0.5 GW might be exported, Chubais said.
