Austrian, Russian FMs hold talks in Vienna, discuss N. Korea, Syria, Iran, migration
VIENNA. June 5 (Interfax) - Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl has met with her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Vienna on Monday to exchange views on a wide range of subjects, including North Korea, Syria, and Iran.
"Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl has had a workplace conversation with her counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Vienna today. In addition to bilateral relations, subjects [for discussion] were Austria's chairmanship in the EU, North Korea, Syria, Iran, migration, and multilateralism," the Austrian Foreign Ministry said on Twitter.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived earlier in Vienna on a working visit on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the start of Russian natural gas export from the Soviet Union to Austria.
