World Bank confirms global GDP growth forecast for 2018 at 3.1%, Russia forecast at 1.5%
WASHINGTON. June 5 (Interfax) - The World Bank is forecasting 2018 global GDP growth to hold at a level of 3.1%, as in 2017, according to the organization's June Global Economic Prospects (GEP) report.
Forecasts for 2019 and 2020 have been confirmed at 3% and 2.9%, respectively.
The 2018 growth forecast for the Russian economy has been reduced 0.2 percentage points compared with January expectations - from 1.7% to 1.5%. The next two years should see growth of 1.8%, as envisaged in the winter report.
