Ukrainian human rights ombudsman en route to Russia's Labytnangi to see Oleh Sentsov

KYIV/MOSCOW. June 15 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada human rights commissioner Lyudmyla Denysova has arrived in Salekhard and is now heading to Labytnangi, where Ukrainian film director Oleh Sentsov is serving his sentence in a local penitentiary.

"We have arrived in Salekhard. This city is 22 kilometers from Labytnangi, where Oleh Sentsov is being held. This is where we are going now," Denysova wrote on her Facebook page on Friday morning.

It was reported earlier that the Russian and Ukrainian human rights commissioners plan to visit 34 prisoners in each of their countries.
