Next meeting between heads of CIS countries to be held in Dushanbe on September 28

MINSK. June 18 (Interfax) - A meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council will take place in Dushanbe on September 28 and a meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council will be held on September 27.

"Tajikistan chairs [the CIS in 2018] and all main events will be held in Dushanbe. A meeting of the Foreign Ministers Council will be held on September 27 and a meeting of the Heads of State [Council] will take place on September 28," Makhmadsharif Khakdod, permanent envoy of Tajikistan in the CIS bodies, told reporters in Minsk on Monday.

The agendas of the meetings are now being determined, he said. "The next meetings [of CIS envoys] will address the preparations for these events," he said.

Previous meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council took place in Sochi on October 11, 2017.
