Gazprom announces record 3D seismic tender at Tambey: 13 bln rubles, 5 yrs
MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - Gazprom Geologorazvedka LLC is selecting a contractor to conduct 3D seismic surveying at the Malyginsky section and the Tambey group of fields on the Yamal Peninsula, the company said in materials.
The initial contract price is 13.4 billion rubles. Proposals are requested for the entire project as a single lot. The tender winner will have five years to carry out 3D seismic surveying, 3D geo-electrical prospecting, transient electromagnetic sounding and shallow transient electromagnetic sounding, and to interpret the data collected.
The contract territory, which covers more than 4,000 square meters, includes the Malyginsky, Tasiysky, Zapadno-Tambeysky and Severo-Tambeysky sections. The contractor is expected to begin field work in January 2019. The final report is to be ready by March 2023.
It is the most expensive seismic surveying tender in Gazprom history. The largest previous seismic contract was in 2015, to survey the Khandinsky section near Kovykta, which was concluded with TNG-Group LLC. The starting price in the tender was 14.26 billion rubles and the contract was concluded at 13.3 billion rubles. But that tender consisted of three lots, each in the range 4.5 billion-4.8 billion rubles.
The Tambey production zone includes six fields: Severo-Tambeyskoya, Zapadno-Tambeyskoye, Tasiyskoye, Malyginskoye (Gazprom holds the licenses to those four fields) and Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye and Syaodorskoye. Annual production is expected to reach up to 65 billion cubic meters of gas and up to 2.8 million tonnes of condensate. Hydrocarbon reserves in the territory according to estimates formulated in 2017 amount to 7.7 trillion cubic meters of gas and 599 million tonnes of condensate.
