Medvedev instructs Defense Ministry to sign military cooperation deal with Sri Lanka
MOSCOW. July 10 (Interfax-AVN) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved a draft agreement on military cooperation with the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka proposed by the Russian Defense Ministry.
A directive signed by Medvedev and dated July 7 instructs the Defense Ministry "to hold negotiations with the Sri Lankan party, involving the relevant federal executive bodies, and sign the agreement on the government's behalf when an understanding is reached."
