ForteInvest to begin drilling at Ozerny section in Orenburg region in Q3
MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - JSC Preobrazhenskneft, a subsidiary of ForteInvest, which is part of Mikhail Gutseriev's Safmar group, plans to begin drilling a first exploration well at the Ozerny section in Orenburg region in the third quarter of 2018, ForteInvest said in a statement.
The well will be drilled into one of the promising structures that were detected as the result of 3D seismic surveying of 107.2 square kilometers last year.
The company is working on agreement and approval of the second stage of geological study at Ozerny, after which drilling work will begin. The first well will be drilled to a depth of at least 4,000 meters.
Preobrazhenskneft acquired the Ozerny section, whose D1l oil resource is 1.2 million tonnes and D1 resource is 0.8 million tonnes, in 2017.
