Turkey broke Gulen movement's spine, but fight not over yet - ambassador in Baku
BAKU. July 13 (Interfax) - Turkey will continue fighting the supporters of Fethullahci Teror Orgutu (FETO) founded by the U.S.-based Turkish preacher Fethullah Gulen, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozaral said.
"The terrorist organization FETO has been dealt a heavy blow. We broke its spine in Turkey as well as in Azerbaijan. We will continue fighting FETO," Ozaral said at a press conference in Baku on Friday.
Azerbaijan has always stood by Turkey in this fight, he said.
About 250 people were killed and 2,200 injured as the result of a coup attempt in Turkey in July 2016. Ankara laid blame for the plot on Gulen and FETO.
