Ukrainian envoy attends TCG political subgroup meeting only for 10 minutes - DPR
DONETSK/MINSK. July 25 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian envoy to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) political subgroup has left its meeting before the scheduled time without expressing any stance on the agenda, acting Foreign Minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Natalya Nikonorova said.
"At the today's political subgroup meeting the Ukrainian envoy has left the session hall before the scheduled time. Attending it only for ten minutes and voicing not a single position on the agenda, the Ukrainian negotiator has just formally read out common suppositions. The Ukrainian side thus continues to display its unscrupulous attitude to the Minsk process in every possible way," she said in her statement.
"We continue to urge representatives of Ukraine and those countries, which have an influence on Kyiv, to fulfil their commitments taken up under the documents of the Minsk Package of Measures and to finally begin the discussion of basic points on the political agenda, that is, the mechanism of enforcing the law on Donbas special status and conducting the amnesty," the acting DPR foreign minister said.
The work of the political and humanitarian subgroups was not disrupted, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Special Envoy to the TCG for Ukraine Martin Sajdik said.
"I cannot comment that, because there was nothing like that," he told reporters in Minsk on Wednesday.
