Russian diplomats in CAR doing their best to send bodies of deceased journalists home - Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 3 (Interfax) - The Russian embassy in the Central African Republic (CAR) is doing its best to transport bodies of the deceased journalists home as early as this Friday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

The bodies are being kept at the best-equipped hospital of the Central African Republic's capital, Bangui, Zakharova said in Moscow on Friday.

"The Russian embassy is doing everything it can to send them home today," Zakharova said.

"We will not announce the arrival date for ethnical reasons," she said.

"Full information was provided to the deceased men's families" on Friday, Zakharova said.

"We stay in touch, and the families have been informed today about the date of the planned arrival of the relevant flight," she said.

Russian journalist Orkhan Dzhemal, documentary maker Alexander Rastorguyev, and cameraman Kirill Radchenko were killed in an attack in the Central African Republic earlier this week. The Russian Investigative Committee opened a murder case in that connection.
