Kyrgyz president removes justice minister from office

BISHKEK. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov has removed Justice Minister Ainur Abdyldayeva from office, the presidential press service told Interfax on Tuesday.

The president signed the executive order consistent with Clause 4, Part 3, Article 24 of the Constitutional Law on the Government, the press service said.

The press service did not say why the minister was removed from office. According to local media, Abdyldayeva submitted her letter of resignation in order to take another position.

Abdyldayeva was appointed justice minister early this year and retained her post in the new government, which was formed after the resignation of former Prime Minister Sapar Isakov.
