Russian diplomat calls U.S.' sanctions 'absurd'
MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - Russian First Deputy Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky has described the new U.S. sanctions against Russia as "the theater of absurdity" and called the United States "the United Sanctions of America."
"The theater of absurd continues. No proofs, no clues, no logic, no presumption of innocence, just highly-liklies. Only one rule: blame everything on Russia, no matter how absurd and fake it is," Polyansky wrote on Twitter.
"Let us welcome the United Sanctions of America!" he wrote.
