Vodafone again halts operations in Donbas after accident in Luhansk region

DONETSK. Aug 9 (Interfax) - The mobile operations of Ukraine's Vodafone have again been halted in the territory of the self-proclaimed Donbas republics after an accident in the Luhansk region, the communications minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Viktro Yatsenko, said in a statement.

"An accident has again hit the Vodafone mobile network. There has been no signal from the mobile service provider in DPR or LPR [Luhansk People's Republic] since 9 a.m. There is a failure, supposedly, on Ukraine-controlled territory. Details are being clarified," Yatsenko said.
