Five killed in Mi-8 copter crash landing in Tajikistan - Emergency Situations Committee

MOSCOW. Aug 13 (Interfax) - Three mountaineers and two crewmembers were killed when a Mil Mi-8 helicopter crash landed in the mountains of Tajikistan, Umeda Yusufi, a spokesperson for the Tajik Emergency Situations Committee, told Interfax.

"Unfortunately, I have to say that three mountaineers and two crewmembers have died. Our sincere condolences to their families," Yusufi said.

The helicopter was carrying 15 mountaineers, 13 of them Russians, and three crewmembers.
