ANKARA. Aug 18 (Interfax) - State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Saturday.

"The meeting took place on Saturday after the sixth general congress of the Justice and Development Party finished its work," a member of the State Duma delegation, which attended the congress at the invitation of the Turkish leadership, told reporters.

The Justice and Development Party, which was founded by Erdogan in 2001, is Turkey's ruling party.

Earlier on Saturday, Volodin met with Turkey's foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and parliamentary speaker Binali Yildirim. The sides agreed to set up a high-level parliamentary commission between the State Duma and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
