Burkina Faso defense minister lauds quality of Russian weapons at meeting with Shoigu
KUBINKA (Moscow region). Aug 21 (Interfax-AVN) - The high quality of Russian weapons and military hardware is beyond doubt, Burkina Faso National Defense and Veterans Minister Jean-Claude Bouda told Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at a meeting on the sidelines of the Army 2018 international military-technical forum.
"I think there is no need to repeat that my country has a long-standing tradition of using Russian weapons and military hardware, the top-notch quality of which is beyond doubt," Bouda said.
Burkina Faso and Russia have been maintaining "substantive and fruitful" relations for 50 years, he said.
Bouda thanked Shoigu for the invitation to the Army 2018 forum and the National Security Week. "Allow me to use the occasion to hail this initiative and express my appreciation of the cordial welcome," he said.
