Lavrov to meet with Saudi FM next week - Russian Foreign Ministry
MOSCOW. Aug 23 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir in Moscow on August 29, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, who will be in Moscow on a working visit, on August 29," Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday.
"We see the upcoming meeting between the foreign ministers of our countries as an integral part of regular and trusting political dialogue with the Saudi partners on a broad range of issues that present mutual interest," Zakharova said.
In this context, there will be a detailed discussion on the vital aspects of further progressive development of versatile Russian-Saudi relations, implementation of agreements reached following the state visit to Russia by the king of Saudi Arabia and his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in October 2017.
"There are plans to give considerable attention to the issue of mutual trade, whose amount has recently demonstrated a steady positive dynamics," Zakharova said.
