Russia-Turkey military-technical cooperation developing actively - Lavrov
MOSCOW. Aug 24 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said he plans to discuss the growth in bilateral military-technical cooperation with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu.
"We always have something to discuss from our bilateral agenda. Relations in the spheres of trade, the economy, humanitarian cooperation, and military-technical cooperation are developing very, very actively," Lavrov said opening talks with Cavusoglu.
"Preparations for the next Astana Format summit are underway now, and I expect that we will be able to discuss the process of preparing for this important event thoroughly," Lavrov said.
He said that he visited Ankara recently and said that "contacts via other ministries and agencies are planned in the near future and, of course, the schedule of our presidents' contacts is always on our agenda."
