Hevel may build 30 MW SPP in Omsk Region - local authorities

OMSK. Aug 24 (Interfax) - Hevel is planning to build a solar power plant (SPP) in the Novovarshavsky District of the Omsk Region, the regional governments press service said in a statement.

"The Omsk Region is included in a 'belt' of regions with substantial sunlight, due to which the investor is considering the possibility of building an SPP with capacity of 30 MW in the south of the region. Overall investment in the project may total 3 billion rubles, while overall annual tax receipts once the facility reaches project capacity should be up to 200 million rubles," Yegeny Kovtun, head of the Omsk Region's agency for development and Investments, was quoted as saying the statement.

At present, an agreement has been reached with IDGC of Siberia subsidiary Omskenergo and the investor on conducting all necessary preparatory works for the connection of the future facility to distribution networks.
