DPR envoys, Hug discuss situation on Donbas contact line

DONETSK. Aug 27 (Interfax) - OSCE Special Monitoring Mission Principal Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug has arrived in Donetsk.

"Alexander Hug arrived in Donetsk today," a representative of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) told reporters.

"A meeting was held with the DPR's JCCC representatives. Issues related to security and the general situation on the contact line were discussed," he said.

The "bread truce" was declared in Donbas in connection with the start of the harvesting campaign on July 1. However, the opposing sides report daily on violations.

On August 22, the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) agreed on a "school truce" starting on August 29 at 12:01 a.m. in connection with the beginning of the academic year.
