Poroshenko tasks diplomats with securing imports of weapons that Ukraine can't produce

KYIV. Aug 28 (Interfax) - The development of military-technical cooperation with foreign countries should be among the main priorities of Ukrainian diplomatic missions abroad, President Petro Poroshenko said.

"It is this, the military-technical sector, that needs to become one of your main priorities. Some are already very close to deliveries [...] and some are in the process of work. [...] I mean, as concerns military-technical cooperation - acquiring, including by means of procurement, defensive weapons, those components that we have not yet learned to manufacture ourselves," Poroshenko said at a meeting with the heads of Ukraine's foreign diplomatic missions in Kyiv on Tuesday.
