Putin's proposals on pension reform to be stated in presidential amendments to govt-proposed bill - Putin
MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - The proposals on pension reform will be stated in presidential amendments to a government-proposed bill, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"The proposals I have spoken about today will be stated in amendments and will be submitted to the State Duma without the shortest period of time possible," Putin said in his televised address to citizens on Wednesday.
A mechanism for annual increase of pensions needs to be included in the bill by the second reading, the president said.
"The mechanism for annual increase of pensions needs to be included in the bill on changes to the pension system. It should be done by the second reading in the State Duma," the president said.
