Udaltsov being discharged from hospital after hospitalization on Sept 1 - wife
MOSCOW. Sept 3 (Interfax) - Sergei Udaltsov, coordinator of Left Front, is about to be discharged from the hospital where he was taken from a detention facility on September 1 due to dehydration, Udaltsov's wife Anastasia Udaltsova said on Monday.
"Sergei is being discharged," Udaltsova told Interfax, adding that she was unaware of her husband's health status.
Moscow's Meshchansky District Court ruled on August 14 to arrest Udaltsov for 30 days for repeated violation of the procedure for arranging a public event. The Moscow City Court upheld this ruling on August 17.
Udaltsov has been on a dry hunger strike since August 14 in protest against the court ruling. He was hospitalized on August 19 and 26, each time for one day.
Udaltsov was taken to the hospital for the third time on September 1.
