Putin, Pashinyan to meet in Moscow on Sept 8 - newspaper

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The third meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will take place in Moscow on September 8, the newspaper Izvestia said on Tuesday citing Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"The summit talks between Russia and Armenia will take place on September 8. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will meet in Moscow. Presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has confirmed the information to Izvestia," the newspaper said.

It would be the third visit of Pashinyan to Russia after the change of administration in Armenia. The leaders of Russia and Armenia met at the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)'s summit in Sochi on May 14 and in Moscow on June 13 when Pashinyan attended the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup, Izvestia said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed the pending meeting between Putin and Pashinyan in his speech delivered at the MGIMO University on Monday.
