Ministry puts investment in Russian petrochemical sector at 190 bln rubles in 2018
KAZAN. Sept 4 (Interfax) - Investment in Russia's petrochemical industry will total about 190 billion rubles in 2018, Deputy Energy Minister Anton Inyutsyn said at the Tatarstan Oil, Gas and Petrochemicals Forum in Kazan.
"We in Russia are setting ambitious goals in the next ten years: to process more than half of feedstock at our petrochemical complexes, increase the capacity of our pyrolysis units by 350% and increase investment annually - more than 200 billion rubles. For this year we're planning about 190 billion rubles of investment across our country. We believe that this is genuinely one of the points of growth, one of the drivers of our economy and we, of course, must become one of the leading exporters of petrochemical industry products," Inyutsyn said.
Investment in recent years has remained "approximately at this level," Inyutsyn told reporters.
