Competitive capacity offtake bids for 2022 postponed until Dec due to launch of thermal capacity modernization program

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - The Russian government has issued a resolution postponing competitive capacity offtake (CCO) bidding for 2022 from September 15 to December 15, 2018 due to the launch of the thermal capacity modernization program, according to a statement on the government website.

"In order to account for the planned mechanism for attracting investment into modernization of thermal power plant facilities, it's necessary to adjust the timeframe of CCO bidding for 2022," the statement said.

JSC UES System Operator earlier set the 2022 CCO bidding timeframe for September 10-14, according to materials on the CCO website.
