OSCE ODIHR wants to help reform Armenian Electoral Code - Greminger
YEREVAN. Sept 5 (Interfax) - The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) is ready to provide assistance with reforming the Armenian Electoral Code, OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger said.
The OSCE will continue promoting cooperation with Armenia using all methods despite the closure of the OSCE office in Yerevan, Greminger said at a meeting with Armenian National Assembly Chairman Ara Babloyan, according to the Armenian parliament press service.
The OSCE ODIHR is ready to provide assistance in the process of electoral reforms in Armenia, the OSCE general secretary said.
The meeting also addressed the Karabakh settlement process.
"The realization and recognition of the right of the Artsa people for self-determination is the foundation of the Karabakh conflict settlement," Babloyan said.
Greminger, for his part, said he as OSCE general secretary is ready to assist the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group on Karabakh settlement.
