Uzbekistan to hold int'l conference on role of women in democratic development in Nov - deputy PM
ASTANA. Sept 5 (Interfax) - An international conference on the role of women in the democratic modernization of Uzbekistan will be conducted in Uzbekistan in November, Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Tanzila Narbayeva said at a regional conference entitled Broadening the Rights and Opportunities of Women in Afghanistan in Astana on Wednesday.
"In November 2018, we plan to hold an international conference on the issue 'Role of Women in the Democratic Renewal and Modernization of the Country: Experience of Uzbekistan and International Practice. We invite everyone present to attend the event," Narbayeva said.
She said she hopes that the conference participants will be able to "work out recommendations on strengthening the role of women in the processes of the country's modernization and renewal, which will be in demand not only in Uzbekistan, but also in other countries, including in Afghanistan."
