Energia Board of Directors may confirm Sergei Romanov as general director in Sept
MOSCOW. Sept 6 (Interfax) - Acting Energia General Director Sergei Romanov might be confirmed as corporation head by the end of September, a source in Energia told Interfax.
The Energia Board of Directors may have an extraordinary meeting under the chairmanship of Roscosmos first deputy head Nikolai Sevastyanov by the end of September, the source said.
"The need for an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors, its date and mechanisms are being discussed. So far there are plans to hold [the meeting] before the end of the month. The primary item on the agenda is the confirmation of the general director," he said.
The most probable candidate is acting Energia General Director Sergei Romanov.
"Romanov is deemed to be the most eligible candidate, considering the scope of tasks faced by the Energia Corporation," the source said.
