FSMTC chief unable to confirm Su-35 supplies to Indonesia

SOCHI. Sept 6 (Interfax) - There is no new information yet regarding shipments of Sukhoi Su-35 fighter aircraft to Indonesia, Dmitry Shugayev, the head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), said.

"So far, no news. I cannot confirm any shipments," Shugayev told reporters when asked if Su-35 fighter jets would be shipped to Indonesia.

Earlier this year the two countries signed a contract for delivery of eleven Su-35s. A source in the sphere of military-technical cooperation told Interfax that Indonesia would receive from Russia a commercial loan to buy the eleven planes.
