Lukashenko to visit Uzbekistan on Sept 12-14

MINSK. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko will visit Uzbekistan on September 12-14 at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

At their talks, the sides plan to discuss bilateral cooperation and outline the main avenues for the development of their political dialogue, long-term trade and economic cooperation, and also bilateral interaction in other areas, it said.

The Uzbek and Belarusian presidents will also exchange opinions on key problems in the region and worldwide.

During Lukashenko's visit, Tashkent will also host a "Made in Belarus" exhibition of Belarusian products and a forum of business and interregional cooperation, which will involve business people and the heads of the two countries' regions.

The sides plan to sign a joint statement of the heads of state and a package of intergovernmental agreements at the end of the visit.
