Russia finds participation by OPCW Technical Secretariat in investigation into incidents in Salisbury, Amesbury unjustified

MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - The participation by the Technical Secretariat of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in the investigation into the incidents in Salisbury and Amesbury is unjustified, Russian envoy to the OPCW Alexander Shulgin said on Wednesday.

"According to all our indications, the participation by the Technical Secretariat in the national investigation is unjustified. We would like to hope that it will not occur again," Shulgin told reporters in The Hague after a briefing on Russia's position on the incidents in Salisbury and Amesbury in the OPCW.

"I said I regret that the Technical Secretariat is being voluntarily or involuntarily involved in such dirty games that the UK has started," the Russian diplomat said.
