Georgian PM Bakhtadze to go to U.S. this week, to attend UN GA

TBILISI. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze will visit the United States at the end of this week, where he will have talks with U.S. administration officials and will attend the UN General Assembly.

"It is a tribune where we can raise the most important and vital issues with the entire global community," he said.

At the same time, the Georgian prime minister told reporters on Wednesday he expects positive results from the visit to the U.S. that will promote "a transition of the strategic relations between the two countries to a higher level."
