Hungary interested in soonest possible conclusion of gas deal with Gazprom - foreign minister

MOSCOW. Sept 17 (Interfax) - Budapest would like to secure the Russian leadership's support to conclude a gas agreement with Gazprom for 2020 as soon as possible, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said.

"We buy a large amount of gas from Russia. We have a contract concluded until the end of 2019. It would be good to agree on the terms and conditions for 2020 as soon as possible. We would like to ask for support so that Gazprom take a positive attitude toward our matter," Szijjarto said at a meeting with Russian Federation Council First Deputy Chairperson Nikolai Fyodorov.
