Terms, format of talks with Syrian leadership on Russian-Turkish agreements on Idlib not yet determined - Peskov

SOCHI. Sept 17 (Interfax) - The terms and format of consultations with the Syrian leadership on the Russian-Turkish agreements on Syria have not been finalized, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"It is too early to talk about that, there's nothing clear yet," he told reporters.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said following talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Sochi that further consultations with the Syrian leadership over the resolution of the country's crisis will be held in the near future.

"In our view, the practical realization of the steps that have been planned will give an extra boost to the political settlement of the Syrian conflict, step up the efforts in Geneva, and help bring peace back to the Syrian land," Putin said.

Earlier at the press conference, he listed the steps he and Erdogan had agreed on for Syria.

"Overall, this approach is favored by the Syrian leadership. We will hold additional consultations with the Syrian leadership very soon," he said.
