SUEK terminal in Vanino handles 3.6% more coal exports to Asia-Pacific region in H1

KHABAROVSK. Sept 20 (Interfax) - JSC Daltransugol, a coal terminal near the Vanino Port in Khabarovsk Territory that is part of Russian coal miner JSC SUEK, handled 10.4 million tonnes of coal in the first half of 2018, 3.6% more than in the same period of 2017, JSC Mortsentr TEK reported.

It was reported earlier that SUEK plans to overhaul the terminal to expand its handling capacity to 40 million tonnes per year. The company plans to invest 20 billion rubles in modernization as part of the third phase to 2023. The company signed an agreement on the implementation of the project with Khabarovsk Territory at the fourth Eastern Economic Forum in September.
