Russia-U.S. military communication channel allows for timely incident prevention - Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW. Sept 23 (Interfax-AVN) - The behavior of Israeli pilots in Syria is radically different from that of U.S. aircraft, the Russian Defense Ministry's spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.
"It should be noted that the behavior of Israeli pilots is radically different from the American aviation's actions in the region," Konashenkov said at a briefing in Moscow on Sunday.
"We have an active channel of communication to prevent air incidents, with both sides giving prior notice about plans to use aviation in various parts of Syria. This allows for timely measures to rule out any situations posing threat to Russian and U.S. militaries in the air and on the land," he said.
