Trump mentions Russia once at UN, in context of new energy sources for Germany - Zakharova

MOSCOW. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has pointed out that Russia was mentioned only once in United States' President Donald Trump's speech at the UN General Assembly - in connection with the country's energy interaction with Germany.

"Two topics ran through Trump's speech at the United Nations General Assembly: the need to defend national sovereignty and national interest as a priority. Remarkably, that concerned not only the U.S., but all the countries in the world," Zakharova wrote on Facebook.

"Apparently, he decided not to mention Russia in vain. He said only that Germany urgently needs to re-orient to other energy opportunities. Otherwise, it will be dependent on Russia. The German delegation giggled at these words," Zakharova wrote.
