Belarus expects EU partnership agreement talks to be completed in 2018 - Foreign Ministry
MINSK. Oct 2 (Interfax) - Minsk expects to complete negotiations on an agreement on partnership priorities with the European Union by the end of 2018, Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Kravchenko said.
"We have had a lot of meetings, we have discussed partnership priorities [...] and are close to a final version," Kravchenko told journalists in Minsk on Tuesday.
"We hope that they [the negotiations] will be completed by the end of the year," he said.
Belarus is aware of what the EU expects from it, and "they are aware of what we expect from them," Kravchenko said. "This is a negotiating process, and it has not yet been finished. I hope we will be able to finish and sign it soon," he said.
