Inflation in Kazakhstan at 0.4% in Sept, 3.3% Y2D
ALMATY. Oct 2 (Interfax) - Inflation in Kazakhstan stood at 0.4% in September and 3.3% year to date, the Statistics Department of the Ministry of the National Economy said.
Twelve-month inflation (September 2018 to September 2017) was at 6.1%.
In January-September, prices for food products increased 2.3%, for non-food items 4.3%, and for services 3.4%.
Gasoline went down 2.6% in price, while diesel fuel rose 18.8%, coal 5.9%, and bottled liquefied gas 4.9%.
The price of legal services and insurance of personal vehicles grew 6%, preschool fees rose 5.2%, healthcare services increased 5% in price, and university fees increased 3.6%.
Air tickets increased 12.4% in price, rail tickets 7%, intercity bus transportation 6%, and city bus fares 3.1%.
In 2017, inflation in Kazakhstan was at 7.1%.
