4 candidates to stand for LPR leader on Nov 11 - CEC

LUHANSK. Oct 3 (Interfax) - The central election commission (CEC) in the self-proclaimed Luhansk people's republic (LPR) has finishing inspecting the documentation and signature lists submitted by candidates in the LPR leadership election to be held on November 11, CEC chairperson Yelena Kravchenko said.

Four candidates have been registered: Leonid Pasechnik, the acting LPR leader; Oleg Koval, head of the LPR trade union of teachers and scientists; Natalya Sergun, head of the LPR trade union of railroad workers; and Lyudmila Rusnak, the Perevalsky leader of the Luhansk economic union, Kravchenko said.

Four other contenders, who applied as independents, were turned down having failed to submit the necessary documentation, she said.
