Harmony winning Latvian parliamentary election, with KPV LV coming in second, New Conservative Party third

RIGA. Oct 7 (Interfax/BNS) - The Harmony (Saskana) party is leading the parliamentary election in Latvia, winning 19.91% of the vote, with the results from all polling stations counted, according to tentative information published by the central electoral commission on Sunday.

KPV LV is tentatively second with 14.06% and the New Conservative Party (NKP) third with 13.6% of the vote.

The For Development/For! alliance of political parties is winning 12.04%, the National Alliance "All for Latvia!"-"Tevzemei un Brivibai/LNNK"11.03%, and the Union of Greens and Farmers (ZZS) 9.96%.

The New Unity is also winning mandates in the Saeima, the Latvian parliament, with 6.67% of the vote. No other parties have cleared the 5 percent threshold.

The Latvian parliamentary election was held on October 6.
