Novorossiysk Grain Plant boosts grain shipment 7.7% in 9M
KRASNODAR. Oct 10 (Interfax) - Novorossiysk Grain Plant transshipped 4.531 million tonnes of grain for export in January-September 2018, the company said in materials.
The total is 7.7% more than the 4.208 million tonnes handled in the same period last year.
In September alone, Novorossiysk Grain shipped 530,860 tonnes of grain, 0.6% more year-on-year.
The company more than doubled grain shipment to a record 6.073 million tonnes in 2017, including 642,883 tonnes in August 2017, the highest one-month total in its history.
Novorossiysk Grain expects to ship even more grain this year, about 6.4 million tonnes.
Novorossiysk Grain owns one of the biggest grain terminals in Russia. United Grain Company (UGC) has a 51% stake and VTB has 29.9%, according to the list of affiliated parties as of October 1, 2018.
