Baikonur prosecutors begin inquiry into Soyuz accident
MOSCOW. Oct 12 (Interfax) - Baikonur prosecutors have launched an inquiry into the Soyuz accident.
"Given the aborted launch of the Soyuz MS-10 manned spaceship from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, the Baikonur prosecution service is verifying the compliance with federal laws," the Baikonur prosecution service said in a statement.
"The conduct of officials who supervised the preparation of the rocket and the launch will be assessed," it said.
The check may lead to prosecution oversight measures, the statement said.
