Ex-Makhachkala mayor Musayev sentenced to 4 years in prison

MAKHACHKALA. Oct 15 (Interfax) - The Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala has found former mayor Musa Musayev guilty of abuse of office.

"By a decision of the court, Musa Musayev is sentenced to four years in a general-security penitentiary," a court spokesperson told Interfax.

Musayev was detained in January on suspicion of abuse of office causing damages over 48 million rubles in damages in 2016-2017.

On January 26, the Yessentuki City Court in the Stavropol Territory, where Musayev was taken following his arrest, removed him from his office.
