Russian inspectors to visit military facility in Finland on Tuesday

MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax-AVN) - A Russian inspection team is due to visit a military facility in Finland under the 2011 Vienna Document on confidence building and security measures, the head of the Russian National Nuclear Threat Reduction Center, Sergei Ryzhkov, said.

"The one-day visit will be paid on October 23," Ryzhkov said.

The purpose of such visits is to verify information about military forces and plans of the deployment of main weapon systems and military hardware.

The inspectors will visit the Finnish military facility at the location of its regular deployment in peace time.

"The command will brief them on personnel and main weapon systems and hardware," Ryzhkov said.
