Cuban leader invites Matviyenko to visit Havana
MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax) - Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko has received an invitation to Cuba.
"We would like to extend an invitation to you so that you could find time in you busy schedule to visit Cuba," Miguel Diaz-Canel, the chairman of the Cuban Council of State and Council of Ministers, said at a meeting with Matviyenko.
Earlier on Friday, the Cuban leader met with State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and also invited him to Havana. Volodin promised to pay a visit next year.
Diaz-Canel's meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia are also planned as part of his visit.
